Job Description This position will initially focus on the sales and relationship management of existing clients in Missouri, including shareholders of the Missouri Securities Investment Program (MOSIP). It will also focus on developing new relationships with public entity and corporate institutional clients. Key tasks include: Focus on developing new client relationships, identifying and qualifying prospective clients, leading formal presentations to agency governing boards, and working to gain commitment and funding. Develop and leverage in-depth knowledge of PFMAM’s products and services and promote the full breadth of PFMAM capabilities across multiple client sectors within Missouri and surrounding states. Work closely with client service staff, marketing, and product teams to drive asset growth, ensure smooth implementation of new client accounts, and support current client needs. Meet regularly with existing clients and prospects while proactively developing new relationships for PFMAM’s local government investment pool (LGIP) in Missouri, the Missouri Securities Investment Program (MOSIP). Support separately managed account (SMA) sales, as well as identify multi-asset and outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) opportunities, including preparing materials for meetings, reviewing investment policies and relevant data, and ensuring appropriate follow-up with prospects and clients. Proactively develop and manage an active pipeline in support of annual sales and asset growth goals, including providing weekly updates and participating in monthly sales reviews and quarterly meetings. Act as a relationship manager for the assigned client base and collaborate closely with client service and portfolio management teams to retain and grow existing assets, while leading the new client onboarding process. Leverage market expertise to generate and share territory-specific feedback with portfolio management and marketing teams on a regular basis to support the tailored development of marketing campaigns and product strategy. Represent PFMAM and key clients by attending and presenting at local government trade association conferences and events. Develop innovative approaches to educate clients and prospects on current market conditions and investment opportunities. Basic Qualifications - Typically a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Experience in portfolio management, sales, marketing, or relationship management with institutional clients (Business to Business environment) - Must be FINRA series 6 or 7, 63 licensed or complete 6 or 7, 63 testing within 120 days of start date - Typically has 10 or more years of experience Preferred Skills/Experience Deep understanding of Missouri school districts and school finance, as well as local governments, including finance staff, decision-making processes, and core financial operations such as budgeting, cash management, and debt issuance Strong capital markets knowledge and experience In-depth knowledge of the company’s products and services Demonstrated strength in relationship management and business development/sales Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in managing customer relationships Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our  disability accommodations for applicants .
