R elocation assistance may be available. Purpose The Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer develops complex and novel mechanical systems related to advanced 3D HI processes . Responsibilities Manages research projects, including defining and tracking project goals and milestones and supervising of the work of research team members. Designs, fabricates, assembles and tests equipment systems. Researches and coordinates the procurement of various equipment and sub-systems. Compiles reports on costs and inventory levels. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant disciplines. Two years’ experience in nanofabrication, precision machine design, mechatronics, systems and controls, instrumentation, roll-to-roll systems development. Goal-oriented and ability to prioritize and multitask. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a collaborative team environment. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant disciplines. Experience working in a research or start-up environment. Salary Range TIE pays industry-competitive salaries. Working Conditions Work is performed on-site in a scientific research environment, with dynamic work conditions and frequent interruptions. Work outside standard office hours could be required on an occasional basis during peak periods and special events.
