Amazon’s Gift Card business is rapidly growing and significantly contributes to Amazon’s profitability. The Gift-Cards tech team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented inventive Sr. Technical Program Manager. You will work with talented and nimble teams of engineers, bringing together the Product Managers, Software Development Managers and engineers to align on requirements and process them into robust designs. Responsibilities strategic planning, project management for software within the team, and management of resources across teams. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. The business requires creative engineering balanced with high quality and customer focus. You would do regular communication with senior management on status, risks and execution strategy. You have excellent listening, writing skills and very strong technical competency. You're a thought leader, but you don't just know how to solve the problem, you prove it by leading team to build the solution. Last but not the least; you have a high bar for quality and passion for design and architecture. As the ideal candidate you will be experienced in working closely with a team of software development engineers and have a proven track record of working on complex software solutions using an agile methodology. You will have the ability to dive deep into the understanding of problems in order to help your team make the right decisions for the product and the business. You will have a proven track record of working across organizational lines. You will also be a strong communicator and will have proven abilities in managing through ambiguous situations. Key job responsibilities • Own programs with significant complexity with broad cross-organizational and/or deep architectural impact. • Drive large engineering efforts that solve significantly difficult problems for internal team and external partners • Identify risks/opportunities in technical strategies, architecture(s), in engineering organization structure(s). • Scope, plan, implement and deliver projects and programs, and collaborate with program managers and senior leaders to align with strategic vision and goals • Drive projects cross functionally, build partnerships with other organizations, and work proactively with business teams to ensure security objectives are met • Establish metrics and regular reporting mechanisms • Support deep dive assessments and ad-hoc data analysis requests • Deliver findings, recommendations and remediation steps for all activities
