Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Export Control : This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed. In this role you will be a key member of the team providing the tools and systems needed to design, build, and operate the organization’s services. You will own and operate infrastructure critical to Amazon Leo including engineering applications, AWS Cloud Infrastructure, and local servers. Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, strong project management and time management skills and has a successful track record of delivering large-scale engineering projects. The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential. Key job responsibilities Design build and maintain infrastructure as code for our hybrid-cloud Siemens engineering applications Monitor system performance, ensuring uptime, scalability, and reliability of applications and Infrastructure Analyze current infrastructure capacity and forecast future needs to support organizational growth. Day to day support of existing Siemens applications on AWS and on-premise Automate Siemens deployment and administration of Siemens engineering tools Drive an environment of continuous improvement and operational excellence, Anticipate bottlenecks, make trade-offs, and encourage risk-taking to maximize business benefit Actively participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings
