As a Senior Financial Analyst on the AMZL IPAT (Insights, Planning, Analytics, and Technology) team, you will own financial and operational reporting, decision support, financial modeling, controllership, and cost reduction initiatives. You'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership as we scale our last-mile delivery organization. This role provides extensive partnership opportunities with business and finance leaders to identify best practices across the network and drive cost improvements. Key job responsibilities Controllership & Risk Management: Identify control risks, evaluate impact, propose changes, and implement improvements to remediate gaps. Financial Close & Reporting: Deliver weekly/monthly financial close activities. Leverage financial systems and advanced Excel to manage large data sets and produce plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations. Data Integrity: Work with diverse data sources; identify incomplete or inaccurate data, determine root causes, escalate discrepancies, and partner to resolve issues. AI & Automation: Leverage AI tools and technologies (e.g., machine learning models, generative AI, predictive analytics) to enhance financial analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and generate actionable insights that drive business decisions. Communication: Use active listening and clear, concise communication (written and verbal) to articulate complex finance topics. Adjust style for various audiences. Process Improvement: Identify and implement solutions to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes—including exploring AI-driven solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
