The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace’s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space-enabled mission effects.    The Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department (CMED) in the Integrated Performance Subdivision leads integration and application of modeling and simulation capabilities and modern analysis workflows to support end-to-end effects kill chain analysis and space-enabled campaign modeling. As a member of CMED, you will provide technical capabilities to support our customers in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems of systems to investigate architecture and concept of operations (CONOPS) performance in nominal and contested operating environments. MS&A focus areas include agent-based modeling, red vs blue simulations, military utility and capability drawdown, kill chain effectiveness, enterprise architecture resiliency, and command and control (C2) evaluation. We support a variety of customers with broad program portfolios, and we are looking for curious and innovative teammates to help us address our customers’ hardest problems!    The selected candidate will be required to work full-time , on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA. What  You ’ll  Be Doing   Develop new, customer-driven capability into our mod & sim software tools  Leveraging modern tech stack and enforcing best practices in modern software development and maintainability   Assisting in converting programmatic requirements into actionable work   Work closely with our cross-mission focused program offices and customers to translate their program needs into modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks   Develop and present briefings and reports for program offices and customers   Travel occasionally as required What You Need to be Successful   –  Member of the Technical Staff  -  Modeling & Simulation Engineering    Minimum  Requirements:      Master's degree from an accredited program in computer science, electrical engineering, optical engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field    (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)  0-1 year of industry work experience   Proficiency in C/C++, preferably in C++20   Comfortable working with and following a large code base in C/C++   Experience with Python   Experience or coursework/projects in modeling and simulation software development Experience/coursework/projectgs in at least one of the following: optics, beam control, filtering, multi-int tracking, tasking, mission management, data transport, C2 processes, SIGINT system modeling, kill chain analysis, orbit determination   Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team and manage multiple simultaneous tasks   Familiar with software development cycles and working with repos (git, bitbucket, etc.)  Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and willingness to take initiative   Excellent written and verbal communication skills   A bias for action and the ability to identify shortcomings and address them with initiative    This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government.
