Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.  Sensors: Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Engineer I [Embedded / Radar] to be part of their product development team for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group. What You Will Do: Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions, with guidance as needed. Work at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities. Utilize investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions. Work with teams across multiple disciplines, internal and external Join program and customer meetings/reviews Support the team leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution. Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality. Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed. Work Location: Onsite at our El Segundo, CA Campus Must be able to obtain "special access programs" (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred. A minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in embedded software development   Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools in radar-development software is required. Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite. Introductory Experience with design, code, integration, and test of software into a large software baseline and large system Clearance: Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory to acquire and maintain Security clearances. Qualifications We Prefer: Current DoD Secret and Top Secret Clearance Experience developing Radar Software applications Direct experience with Agile methodologies. Analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues. Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.
