About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Fleet Supervisor to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a designated shift, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles and drivers. You will play a key role in optimizing resource allocation and maximizing driver/vehicle productivity. Responsibilities: - Oversee daily shift operations: Monitor driver schedules, track vehicle locations, and respond to real-time issues such as traffic delays, accidents, or mechanical problems. - Manage driver assignments: Allocate drivers to appropriate routes, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimizing idle time. - Communicate effectively: Maintain clear and concise communication with drivers, operations management, and other company staff via phone, text and other communication channels. - Monitor driver performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, fuel efficiency, and safety records. - Maintain accurate records: Document all shift activities, including driver assignments, vehicle movements, and any incidents. - Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with other groups to ensure seamless operations. - Identify and implement process improvements: Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. - Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations: Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements, including DOT regulations and company policies. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred. - 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced transportation or logistics environment, with supervisory experience preferred. - Strong understanding of GPS tracking systems, dispatch software, and other relevant technologies. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think quickly and decisively in high-pressure situations. - Proficiency in Gmail and the ability to pick up various apps and software as needed. - Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, especially Thursday-Sunday Compensation: - $24/hr 8Fleet is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity at our company.
