We’re a really unique team - we are our own customers, and lived through these pain points for 8+ years - both as a buyer of observability at a high scale company for 4.5 years (Rubrik) and as a company builder selling to the same buyer (4+ years at YC startup). ABOUT THE JOB As a Founding Engineer on the team, you will get to: - Disrupt a large existing market with deep technical insights. You’ll be on the ground floor of creating a product like Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Rubrik, DataBricks, Confluent, CockroachDB, DynamoDB, ClickHouse, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Aurora (from scratch). - Wear multiple hats - rapid experimentation to find customer needs, and building software, talking to customers, eliminating ambiguity, and focusing/deciding on the things that matter.  - Optimize our software stack and database engine for cost, performance and scale.
