Software Engineer Intern

Software Engineer Internship This is a high-impact internship where you’ll write real code, ship features, and see your work in production. Note: This is an in-office role, 5 days a week in San Francisco. What You’ll Do - Investigate and troubleshoot real customer issues across frontend and backend systems - Work closely with customers and internal teams to diagnose bugs, performance bottlenecks, and reliability problems - Build internal tooling and dashboards to improve debugging, monitoring, and operational workflows - Help monitor production systems and support incident response efforts - Assist engineers in identifying root causes and shipping fixes quickly - Build and maintain components for high-performance web applications using React and Next.js - Collaborate with engineers to integrate APIs, real-time systems, and observability tooling - Improve UI/UX by building responsive and user-friendly interfaces - Support performance optimization efforts across rendering, caching, and latency - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code - Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and product development Qualifications - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or related field - Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred) - Familiarity with Next.js or willingness to learn quickly - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills - Comfortable investigating technical issues and working through ambiguous problems - Basic understanding of APIs, async programming, and web fundamentals - Exposure to full-stack development through projects, coursework, or internships - Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and teammates - Eagerness to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have - Experience with backend development (Python or Node.js) - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) - Experience with observability or monitoring tools - Familiarity with databases (Firebase, Supabase, or similar) - Interest in AI, real-time systems, infrastructure, or voice technologies What You’ll Gain - Real-world experience debugging and operating production systems - Hands-on exposure to customer-facing engineering and issue investigation - Mentorship from experienced engineers - Experience working with modern infrastructure, observability, and AI systems - Opportunity to make meaningful contributions to a fast-growing company Our Tech Stack - Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript - Backend: Python, microservices, async systems - Cloud & Infra: AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Redis - Databases: Firebase, Supabase - Observability: Datadog, logging, metrics, tracing
