Position Summary
The Senior Director, HCP Marketing leads & drives the enterprise HCP marketing strategy and execution to support brand commercialization across all channels. This role is accountable for shaping cross-functional strategy, aligning senior stakeholders, and delivering high-impact business outcomes. Operates as a key member of the brand leadership team, influencing enterprise decisions and ensuring integration across HCP, Consumer, Sales, and Market Access strategies.
Primary Responsibilities
Owns and drives enterprise-level HCP brand strategy, ensuring alignment across all commercial channels including community sales, LTC, and non-personal promotion
Leads cross-functional brand planning and serves as a key strategic partner to senior leadership, including Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Operations
Shapes and influences brand strategy and message evolution, translating clinical data, market insights, and competitive intelligence into actionable commercial strategy
Provides strategic oversight and direction to HCP marketing team, including leading and developing team members and/or managing managers, where applicable
Drives high-impact business decisions that influence brand performance, market positioning, and long-term commercial success
Owns peer-to-peer strategy and execution, ensuring effective engagement with healthcare professionals through impactful programming
Leads integrated marketing strategy across channels, including HCP promotion, digital strategy, media planning, and field enablement
Partners closely with Sales leadership to ensure alignment of marketing strategy with field execution and performance objectives
Oversees the planning and execution of key commercial initiatives, including conventions, exhibits, and strategic marketing programs
Builds and maintains strong external relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and leads KOL engagement strategy
Leads advisory board strategy and execution in partnership with Medical Affairs
Oversees performance measurement and optimization of marketing activities, ensuring data-driven decision making and continuous improvement
Accountable for significant HCP marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources aligned to strategic priorities
Identifies market opportunities and competitive threats, proactively adjusting strategy to maximize business impact
Ensures compliance with all Medical, Legal, and Regulatory requirements and company policies
Leads agency strategy and management, ensuring delivery of high-quality, insight-driven marketing programs
Represents HCP Marketing at senior leadership forums, influencing enterprise-level decisions and direction
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, healthcare, business administration, or related field required. MBA preferred.
A minimum of 12 years of progressive marketing experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility and leadership.
Previous leadership experience required, including experience leading teams and/or managing complex cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred:
Neurology or specialty therapeutic experience
Experience operating at a strategic, enterprise level within commercial organizations
Required Skills:
Deep expertise in biopharmaceutical brand marketing and multi-channel strategy
Proven ability to influence and align senior leadership on complex business decisions
Strong strategic thinking with ability to translate insights into impactful business outcomes
Demonstrated success driving cross-functional collaboration and enterprise initiatives
Exceptional communication and executive presence
Ability to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly matrixed environment
Strong financial acumen and experience managing large marketing budgets
Ability to travel up to 40%
Physical Requirements
This role involves regular standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also need to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and maintain visual, verbal, and auditory communication in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedules or business needs.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location.
Salary Range $238,300 — $297,900 USD What we offer US-based Employees:
