Lead PMM, Narrative & Content
Apollo is on a mission to make world class GTM accessible for everyone. Apollo is best known for it’s world class data business, but what we’ve built goes beyond just data. The company's biggest unlock right now is closing the gap between what most people know us for today and the AI-first business we’re building.
We're hiring a Lead PMM, Narrative & Content to own that gap. This is a true PMM + content hybrid: you'll work with Apollo’s exec team to build narratives that break through the noise to position Apollo as the default AI native system for GTM teams. You’ll also own operationalizing that narrative by owning the content strategy that gets this narrative into market - long form research based content, exec thought leadership, and proof points that shift how the market sees us. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our CEO, CRO, CMO, and product PMMs.
This is a senior IC role for an experienced product marketer who's just as comfortable writing the LinkedIn post as building the messaging house behind it. If you've ever been the person quietly translating an exec's half-formed idea into the narrative everyone ends up repeating — this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
Drive the perception shift. Build and execute the strategy that moves Apollo to "AI-first GTM platform" in the minds of upmarket buyers, analysts, and the broader GTM community.
Run the company content engine. Set the editorial POV, prioritize the bets, and ship the work — original research, defining frameworks, exec thought leadership, blog flagships, video, podcast moments. You're as much an editor as a writer.
Operationalize narrative into launches. Partner with product PMMs to map product to narrative, so every Tier 1/2 launch lands in the larger story instead of as a one-off feature drop.
Be the ghost behind exec voice. Own the strategy and (sometimes) the words for CEO, CRO, and CMO social, keynotes, and high-stakes external moments. You’ll work with external writers but you own the strategy.
Translate technical into magnetic. Take dense product capability (MCP, agents, the platform architecture) and turn it into stories upmarket buyers, operators, and analysts can't stop quoting.
Build the proof point machine. Partner with customer marketing to turn customer wins, usage data, and category benchmarks into the evidence layer behind every narrative claim.
Scale yourself with AI. Fluency with Claude (and the workflows we've built around it) is required. You should be the kind of PMM who treats AI as core infrastructure, not a side tool.
Measure the vibe shift. Brand pulse, Gong call language, analyst conversations, inbound demand signal — track the perception KPIs alongside content performance.
What We're Looking For
7–10 years of product marketing experience at B2B SaaS, with a clear spike in narrative, positioning, and content. Strong content marketers with deep PMM chops also welcome — but this role lives in the PMM seat.
You write. Not "can write when needed" — you write. You have a portfolio of long-form, exec social, narrative docs, or launch copy you'd put on a billboard. You can make a CEO sound like the smartest version of themselves.
Cross-functional translator. You're the connective tissue between product, sales, brand, comms, and exec — you've worked directly with CEOs and CROs and you know how to turn their instincts into shipped artifacts.
Strong POV on AI go-to-market. You don't need to be an AI doomer or zealot, but you have a real take on how AI is reshaping B2B GTM, and you've started showing it through your own work.
AI-native operator. Comfortable with Claude as a daily tool; you've built or used custom skills, prompts, or workflows that meaningfully scale your output. Bonus for AirOps, Tofu, Opus Clip, or anything beyond ChatGPT.
Builder mentality. Comfortable shipping V1 docs, running point on cross-functional asks, and saying no to kitchen-sink PMM requests. You've worked in environments where you set the system, not inherit it.
Distribution sensibility. You think about how a narrative spreads — through exec voice, influencer networks, analyst conversations, owned channels — not just what you're publishing.
High agency, high bar. You can move from C-suite narrative work to writing a LinkedIn post for a launch in the same day, and you hold yourself and your partners to a tight quality bar.
Bonus Points
You've led a pricing & packaging or platform-level repositioning before.
You've worked at a company that successfully shifted upmarket — and you can tell the story of what marketing actually did to make that happen.
You've built or ghostwritten an exec social presence that drove real business outcomes (deals, partnerships, inbound).
You've gone viral in the B2B space — but you also know that virality without narrative is noise.
Why This Role
High-leverage moment. Apollo is at the rare inflection point where the product, the market, and the AI shift have all
