As a Senior Developer Advocate at Cline, you will be the bridge between our revolutionary technology and the developers who need it most. You'll lead our technical documentation strategy and become the premier teacher who shows professional engineers at enterprise companies how to effectively leverage our AI coding assistant. You won't just be explaining features—you'll be igniting a movement that transforms how developers work.

With your leadership, Cline will become the default choice for developers seeking AI assistance. As a Developer Advocate, you will spend 25% of your time engaging with Developers at events in-person and 75% of your time creating content and recording videos.
Responsibilities:
Lead Technical Education & Documentation
Architect and own our comprehensive technical documentation strategy that will enable millions of developers to master Cline
Create exceptional learning experiences that turn first-time users into power users
Develop clear, compelling technical content that demonstrates the full potential of our AI coding assistant
Establish documentation standards and systems that can scale with our rapid growth
Inspire Through Community Engagement
Be the passionate, charismatic face of Cline at high-profile industry events and conferences
Host and lead 3-7 engaging developer meetups and workshops monthly in San Francisco
Transform technical discussions into inspiring conversations about the future of development
Build genuine relationships with key community members, turning them into product champions
Drive Strategic Growth
Take ownership of growing our user base from 1M+ to 10M+ developers
Develop and execute programs that convert enterprise developers into Cline advocates within their organizations
Create metrics-driven approaches to measure and optimize the impact of your advocacy efforts
Collaborate with product and marketing teams to align developer education with growth objectives
Elevate Our Product Through Feedback
Establish sophisticated feedback loops between users and our product team
Translate developer challenges into product opportunities
Become the authoritative voice for how developers experience our product
Help shape our roadmap by bringing the developer perspective into strategic decisions
Build a Developer Relations Program That Scales
Design and implement the foundation of Cline's developer relations strategy
Create scalable systems and resources that amplify your impact
Identify and nurture new channels for developer engagement
Measure what matters and continuously refine our approach to developer education
Qualifications:

You have exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural enthusiasm that makes you effective at pitching technology to anyone you meet
You combine marketing savvy with technical credibility — able to communicate the "why" and the "how" with equal effectiveness
You have experience as a sales engineer, solutions engineer, or in a similar technical-facing role where you translated complex products into customer value
You possess software engineering experience (while you don't need to be a professional developer, you must know how to code and understand development workflows)
You can create world-class technical documentation that transforms complex concepts into accessible learning experiences
You have a proven track record of growing developer communities and driving product adoption at scale
You excel at presentation and public speaking, with the ability to command attention and inspire action at major tech conferences
You have experience working with enterprise customers and understand their unique needs and challenges
You're a strategic thinker who can translate company goals into effective developer relations programs
You're comfortable being the face of a product and representing it across various platforms and venues
