About the Team
DoorDash for Business is building the premier corporate dining and benefits platform—helping companies of all sizes feed their teams through industry-leading products and meal programs. Our mission is to become the go-to solution for executives, administrators, and employees who need seamless, high-quality food programs at work. We move fast, operate with an ownership mindset, and are growing new product lines to better serve our corporate customers.
About the Role
As a Senior Associate on the DoorDash for Business Catering team, you will own the Dasher and delivery experience for catering—making sure large, high-stakes catering orders show up on time, get handed off and set up correctly, and reach the customer the way they expect.
You'll work at the intersection of operations, logistics, and analytics—getting deep into the details of how catering deliveries actually play out on the ground, forming hypotheses about what's breaking, and running small, fast tests to find what works before we scale it. This is early-stage, hands-on problem solving, not optimizing a machine that already runs.
You will report into the Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations for DoorDash for Business and can work remotely or hybrid depending preference.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
Own Dasher quality for catering: Take end-to-end ownership of delivery quality for catering—on-time arrival, accurate drop-off and setup, and a clean handoff—so customers can trust every order.
Find the right logistics model: Figure out how catering deliveries should actually work—Dasher selection, batching, timing, equipment, and handoff—by testing different approaches and learning what holds up in the real world.
Get into the details: Dig into individual deliveries, talk to Dashers and customers, and trace exactly where things break down—then turn those root causes into concrete operational fixes.
Use AI to optimize how we operate : Build the automated workflows that show where catering deliveries break down—and lean on AI to turn slow, manual analysis and one-off fixes into repeatable processes the team can scale.
Influence the Product Roadmap: Translate what you learn on the ground into clear product and operational recommendations that make catering delivery more reliable.
We're excited about you because…
You have 3–5 years of experience in strategy & operations, logistics, management consulting, or a high-growth marketplace environment.
You have a track record of owning operational problems end-to-end—from diagnosis to testing to rollout—and are comfortable building from scratch in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
You're analytically strong: you write SQL, work fluently with data, and know how to get to the root cause and turn complexity into clear recommendations.
You demonstrate fluency with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) to automate workflows, surface insights, and drive faster, better decisions.
You communicate with clarity and influence—you can tailor your message for Dashers, operators, cross-functional partners, and senior leadership alike.
You love getting into the weeds—you'll happily roll up your sleeves, get to the lowest level of detail, and run the test yourself to find out what works.
