About the Role We are looking for someone who will help guide our global strategy. You will be a strategic advisor to important partners across DoorDash to ensure we are making the most efficient investment and capital allocation decisions across the geographies in which we operate while improving the experience for all of our marketplace participants. You will help lead financial reporting and planning, and will guide financial insights and direction for our operational decisions and strategies. This role reports to a Senior Director in our Finance & Strategy organization and is remote-friendly within the United States. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… Partner with senior leadership to help guide and run our Digital Ordering business, implementing, measuring and optimizing the SaaS and transactional components of the business Own the global financial performance picture for this business line and understand the levers to optimize our approach to balancing global growth vs. profitability Track and analyze key business/financial KPIs, including SaaS specific metrics, uncover trends and assess current/future business risks and opportunities  Support DoorDash’s quarterly financial planning, collaborate with cross functional business partners to identify growth areas and business priorities. Leverage and apply knowledge of SQL, finance, analytics, and AI technology to manage financial reporting, forecasting, and quantitative analysis to assist DoorDash in making better business decisions. Deep-dive into complex operational questions and collaborate cross-functionally outside Finance with Strategy & Operations, Go-to-Market teams, Revenue Operations and Product, as well as within Finance (Accounting, Analytics, BI) to uncover the most optimal data-driven business decisions and investments We’re excited about you because… 9+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Consulting at a high-growth technology startup or well-established company, including at least 3+ years of SaaS/Software experience. Restaurant tech experience, including Point of Sale, a plus.  Experience working with (and presenting to) Cross-functional Senior Stakeholders Thrives when building & incubating newer businesses – creating frameworks, templates, metrics and longer-range goals to leverage for your line of business Specific experience partnering with Go-to-Market teams and implementing SaaS unit economics, metrics and tracking (MRR, NRR/GRR/Churn, LTV:CAC, GTM performance indicators) Advanced Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and financial modeling skills. Experience building financial models used by teams throughout the company, and to size the impacts of opportunities and business cases for pursuing new projects Experience using analytics & AI tools. Experience manipulating large datasets, uncover hidden insights in our data, and improve our understanding of our business through this process We expect this position to be filled by 7/4/2026. About the Team The Storage teams build and operate online stateful systems and abstractions that are reliable, efficient, secure and easy to use for DoorDash Engineering. The teams are responsible for understanding Product Engineering’s evolving needs and developing platform and infrastructure capabilities to serve them. The team currently supports CockroachDB, Cassandra, Kafka and Redis as well as data abstraction services to reduce the complexity of interacting with storage systems for Product Engineers. About the Role We’re hiring a Data Solutions Engineer with deep expertise in distributed databases, particularly Apache Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, and database agnostic abstractions. In this role, you will design, optimize, and scale distributed data access layers that power DoorDash’s most critical systems, ensuring high availability, low latency, and fault tolerance. You’ll serve as a hands-on architect and technical partner to product engineering and infrastructure teams, helping translate complex business requirements into resilient and scalable data models. Your work will directly influence the evolution of Taulu , DoorDash’s unified storage abstraction layer, by shaping best practices and identifying platform gaps through real world engagements. This is a high-impact, cross functional role that combines deep technical expertise with a customer centric approach. You’ll lead solutioning engagements from design through production, drive the adoption of Taulu modeling best practices, and ensure that our systems meet goals around reliability, cost efficiency, and velocity. You must be located in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle or New York for this hybrid opportunity.  You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… Design and implement highly scalable, fault tolerant distributed database solutions using Taulu, Apache Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, and other paved path storage solutions.  Architect and optimize multi-region, globally distributed systems to meet our high standards for availability, latency, and throughput. Lead data modeling, performance tuning, and capacity planning for large-scale, mission-critical storage workloads. Partner with product engineering and infrastructure teams to deeply understand domain specific data needs and guide them in adopting paved path storage solutions. Serve as the DRI for solutioning engagements , owning modeling in Taulu from experimentation through launch and scale. Shape the ev
