We acquire managed IT companies, ERP software partners, and government services companies. We have a portfolio of 150+ companies in the US, Canada, UKI and ANZ. We are looking for a San Francisco based deal origination professional to help us grow and lead our inorganic growth engine in a new industry, and find the next best businesses and their leaders to partner with.   Position Overview   The day-to-day responsibilities will include:   Identifying and reaching out to business owners via phone, email and in-person   Building our database and relationships in a new technology services industry from the ground up   Crafting a compelling message and story to business owners as to why they should sell to Evergreen   Qualifying and analyzing deals based on Evergreen’s investment criteria and building out an investment scorecard for a new industry   Working with key stakeholders and senior management to win the deal and carry it through the diligence process   Working closely with other sourcing members to win and close new acquisitions   Attending industry events in sectors of interest for Evergreen   Working with investing and senior management team to evaluate and pursue deals   Candidates should be excited about a role where they will spend a significant amount of time building relationships and speaking with business owners. They will be owning and driving these relationships forward through email, phone calls, conferences, and responsible for bringing new acquisition opportunities to the table. Candidates will interface with CEOs, Evergreen senior management, and bankers/brokers on a daily basis. They will also be responsible for basic financial analysis, deal qualifying and ultimately signing up new acquisitions. This role is a unique opportunity to build out a new operating company from the ground up for Evergreen.   Evergreen’s success is predicated on the ability to generate interesting investment opportunities and help add to our family of companies every year. The position offers a long-term career path at Evergreen and direct access to world-class training and mentorship from Evergreen’s leadership team.   Qualifications   2-5 years of experience in a role with some form of business development preferred   Undergraduate degree with a track record of strong academic and extracurricular performance   Strong interest in Private Equity and business development   Personal Attributes   Enthusiastic, personable, positive attitude, high integrity and humility   Persistent, pro-active, self-motivated   Strong work ethic and demonstrated history of outworking peers   Excellent communication skills   Comfort with autonomy and driving your own work forward   Excited about a small, tight-knit team   Interested in a long-term career at a company that is building to something to last for decades   Interest in value investing    Compensation   & Benefits  This role offers a competitive base salary with an on-target earnings range of $180k – $200k, inclusive of quarterly activity bonuses and deal-based closing bonuses.
