Job Summary
The Pre-Job Planning Manager is to lead the pre-job planning process regionally working hand in hand with Area Superintendents, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to ensure they hit company planning goals for their projects. The Pre-Job Planning Manager also manages regional VDC teams, prefabrication departments, and works closely with the purchasing department.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Ensure Pre-job Planning Process is Executed Consistently
Ensure project has 100% of scope captured
Refine and maintain feedback loop, previous estimates, current projects, completed projects
Align processes, systems and team with the approach to start projects per company standards
Manage to consistent field installation standards
Manage VDC team, and Total Station Team to ensure timely accurate and consistent models and field layouts
Manage Prefab team to ensure quality prefab that improves project performance
Manage Purchasing process to ensure complete buyouts
Layout / Control Takeoff Metrics
Pre-Job Planning Meeting Metrics
Quarterly and Annual Reviews
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
Four years or more of electrical field experience
Four years or more of management experience
Strong understanding of electrical construction processes, and industry regulations
Sound business judgment, strong decision making, superior verbal communication, and conflict resolution skills
Effective negotiation skills, strong communication skills, and ability to build strong relationships across teams
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams
Superior organization skills with the ability to multi-task, set priorities, schedule, and establish and follow up on deadlines
Must have an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving
Driven for and by success with a strong sense of urgency and a “get the job done” attitude
Technology and computer proficiency
Experience in utilizing BIM/VDC and prefabrication
Experience in project management is a plus

Work Environment:
Indoor office setting with controlled temperature.
Outdoor industrial sites with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, weather extreme, uneven terrain, or other environmental factors.
Fabrication shop with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, or other environmental factors.
Travel requirements: up to 10% of time.
This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
