The Electrical QCx Engineer is responsible for supporting commissioning, qualification, and startup activities for electrical systems within a semiconductor manufacturing facility. This role ensures systems are installed, tested, and validated in accordance with design documents, specifications, and operational requirements.
Working closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams, the QCx Engineer provides technical oversight from design review through system turnover, supporting all phases of the project lifecycle including construction, startup, and final acceptance.
Responsibilities:
Supports design and Issued for Construction (IFC) drawing reviews to ensure constructability and compliance with project requirements
Validates Sequence of Operations (SOO) and provides over-the-shoulder (OTS) support during system implementation
Performs construction field walks and audits to verify installation quality aligns with drawings, specifications, and testing documentation
Develops and supports Workarounds (WA) and Equipment Early Run (EER) strategies to enable safe and efficient startup
Supports system startup, Functional Acceptance Testing (FAT), and qualification activities in coordination with engineering teams
Provides engineering support for system matching and qualification work processes (WP)
Leads and supports Owner Acceptance / Blue Tag (OA/BT) processes for electrical equipment and systems
Assists in the development and execution of Shut-down / Tie-in Matrices (SDTM)
Supports shakedown planning and execution to ensure system readiness and operational stability
Collaborates with cross-functional teams including construction, QA/QC, commissioning, and operations to resolve technical issues
Ensures all activities are executed in compliance with site safety standards and project requirements
Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required:
Minimum 5+ years of experience working with electrical systems in mission critical industries, preferable to have prior semiconductor experience
Strong understanding of electrical system installation, testing, and commissioning processes
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and sequences of operations
Experience supporting startup, commissioning, and system turnover activities
Strong communication and coordination skills in a cross-functional team environment
Education / Licenses / Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required (equivalent field experience considered)
Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.

The pay range shown reflects the minimum and maximum hourly rates the company may offer for this position. The final rate will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications.
Hourly Rate $50 — $65 USD Eligibility for per diem is determined by company policy and is applicable only under specific circumstances, based on job location and travel requirements.
