About the Team
You will be joining a team focused on leveraging AI to automate document ingestion and data extraction, eliminating manual entry and accelerating the qualification process to deliver faster, more reliable HME order turnarounds and a seamless patient experience.
About the Role
We are seeking an engineering manager to grow our engineers and our engineering practice. We believe in practicing managers, who want to contribute to the code as well as grow engineers. This role will be responsible for coaching up to 5 engineers in growing their career and contributing code and coding practice to a team.
Responsibilities
Develop in an agile environment, including TDD and flexible pair programming
Contribute to balanced teams, working with product and design to shape the application
Consistently deliver quality code that supports business goals
Understanding of data structures, TDD, and software engineering design patterns and principles
Coach up to 5 engineers in career growth and improvement
Guide the engineering practice across teams to create more effective methods
Hybrid IC/manager position with up to 50% hands-on coding
Participate in an on-call rotation, ensuring timely resolution of critical system issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our system reliability and availability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy AI features that improve user experience and operational efficiency
Requirements
Professional programming experience with open source languages
Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering software in a production environment
Minimum of 2 years of management experience
Experience with automated evaluation and testing of LLM powered workflows
Experience with LangSmith or similar tools for observability and evaluation
Familiarity with prompt engineering and prompt lifecycle management
Familiarity with LangGraph, AutoGen, or other agent orchestration frameworks
Skill with AI powered coding tools (eg. Cursor)
Must reside in the U.S.
Nice to Have
Professional experience with Ruby on Rails
Professional experience with React or TypeScript
Experience working cross-functionally to improve business process
Experience as technical lead on projects working with UX/UI design and/or product management.

$195,000 - $240,000
