What We’re Looking For As the world learns to operate in the agentic era, Postman is reinventing itself as the AI-native API platform where humans and agents can collaborate in a secure and scalable fashion. We’re building a product that provides value to developers building and consuming APIs as well as engineering leaders managing large scale distributed services alike.  We are looking for an exceptional engineering leader with a product mindset and a passion for building scalable platforms. As Head of Customer Journey and Monetization Platform, you will build the next generation of our Monetization platform. You will be responsible for leading multiple teams within Monetization Engineering. Your role involves designing, implementing, and running critical tier 0 services for the company. You will also be responsible for understanding the core customer personas and optimize their core journeys within the product, leading to stickiness, higher adoption and growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with attention to detail and a relentless drive for quality. They should be able to strike a balance between short term needs and long term objectives. They should also be able to build and motivate high performing teams, and be generous listeners to their team members and peers alike. What You'll Do People Leadership Hire, build and support multiple engineering teams. Be an effective manager of managers. Hire, retain and grow exceptional engineering talent Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership for the architecture and help the teams build highly secure, scalable, reliable and performant systems that can cater to the needs of hundreds of millions of developers Provide technical leadership to identify dependencies and review key designs to ensure consistency with architecture and support for the business Lead the team to deliver on multiple projects in collaboration with key stakeholders Build an operational center of excellence with effective observability, considerations for scale and performance and focus on quality Product Leadership Understand Postman’s core customer journeys Influence and collaborate with product management to create frictionless, high-impact experiences leading to stickiness, high adoption and growth Decision Making and Goal Setting Help the teams prioritize work, create a balanced roadmap Define, measure and own key metrics for the performance of your team and set clear expectations and goals Collaboration Work closely with senior leadership to drive org design, set and execute the roadmap and influence the strategy Collaborate with cross functional teams to align on goals, drive engineering initiatives, and create broad organizational impact What You’ll Need To Be Successful Master’s degree in a Computer Science or equivalent industry experience Experience with commerce and payment platforms is a plus Experience leading and managing globally distributed teams 5+ years of experience coding and familiarity with common programming languages (e.g. C, C++, Java, PHP, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS) 10+ years of engineering experience building end-end back end services Experience in recruiting, structuring and managing engineering teams Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects with a meaningful impact on the business Exceptional problem solving, design, and analytical skills Demonstrated experience designing highly scalable systems Sense of humor The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $300,000 to $350,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.  What Else?
