That mission demands a world-class team committed to excellence.  If you are motivated by impact, growth, and purpose, you will find a strong sense of belonging at Quince. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate is a deeply technical growth engineer who combines hands-on execution with system-level thinking. You have built and operated production-grade marketing automation systems at scale — from campaign management pipelines and ads bidding infrastructure to creative generation tooling and experimentation frameworks — and you take pride in engineering platforms that drive measurable business outcomes. You are the kind of engineer who gravitates toward the hardest problems at the intersection of technology and performance marketing: designing a low-latency bidding optimization engine, building a reliable creative generation pipeline, or defining the architectural patterns that will shape how Quince scales its growth stack. You operate with high autonomy, hold yourself to exceptional standards, and naturally raise the bar for the engineers around you through rigorous code reviews, sharp technical judgment, and a bias toward clean, durable solutions over quick fixes. Roles & Responsibilities Own business critical end-to-end efforts on performance marketing initiatives, working closely with the marketing, product, data science and analytics teams to deliver high-quality and high-performance tooling and systems. Drive technical design and architecture for growth engineering systems, including campaign management, ads bidding optimization, and creative generation pipelines. Collaborate across other engineering teams and the data science org to understand and implement business requirements. Partner with stakeholders to define and refine requirements, ensuring they are translated into actionable tasks and milestones. Define performance metrics and drive data-driven decisions across the growth stack. Identify and resolve systemic engineering gaps — reliability risks, performance bottlenecks, and scaling constraints — proactively. Drive a code review culture and contribute to the development of architecture and design, and help identify and resolve performance issues. Drive alignment with leadership and team members along with your management counterparts. Experience Required You have excellent computer science fundamentals 8+ years of industry experience building and shipping high-impact software systems. Proven experience in growth engineering, including building and owning performance marketing tools, campaign automation pipelines, or ads optimization systems. Experience building and maintaining highly reliable distributed systems that operate at scale. Experience partnering with Data Science to drive performance marketing efficiency. Knowledge of campaign management and ads bidding optimization is a strong plus. Experience with A/B testing frameworks and data-driven experimentation. Deep familiarity with full-stack development workflows, product ownership, and cross-functional collaboration. Demonstrated ability to optimize service availability, performance, and stability through operational excellence. You are an advocate for maintaining the highest standards in terms of code quality, latency, and observability. You understand the hustle of a startup and are good at handling ambiguity. You can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are a curious, quick learner, scrappy, and someone who loves to experiment.
