Job Summary
RPA is seeking an Account Executive to join the Account Management team supporting ARCO & Marathon. This role will serve as an integral member of a full-service account, cultivating strong relationships with long-term clients, with the flexibility to support additional accounts as business needs evolve.
The ideal candidate will bring 2–4 years of account management experience within an agency environment and will support both National and Local campaigns across traditional and digital media, including audio & video streaming, digital/social, and search. A foundational understanding of media strategy and digital marketing is preferred.
This role requires a highly organized, proactive team player who is intellectually curious and strategically minded. The Account Executive must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, confidently support a variety of client needs, and collaborate effectively across departments. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Key responsibilities include writing creative briefs, supporting the development of tactical and strategic recommendations, facilitating internal and client reviews, and overseeing execution across broadcast, streaming, and digital channels. The role also includes coordination of website maintenance, digital reporting, events and sponsorship fulfillment, competitive audits, and administrative functions such as billing, scheduling, and client coordination.
While this position is primarily aligned to ARCO/Marathon, there may be opportunities to support additional accounts. The Account Executive is expected to act as a strong advocate for the client’s business while enabling internal teams to thrive, demonstrating a positive, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.
Years of Experience
2–4 years advertising agency experience
1–2 years in Digital media experience is a plus
What You’ll Be Working On
Some duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
position internal teams to be as successful as possible while ensuring client goals are met
deep understanding of client's business, various campaigns, and tactics in order to anticipate client and internal team's needs to execute complex plans
ensure all campaigns run on time and with the correct creative rotation
organize client deliverables, internal reviews, and manage change/updates between versions
lead annual competitive audits
oversee web maintenance, location listings, reputation management and social moderation, be point person/lead for external vendor relationships
assist with asset fulfillment for events and sports sponsorships
lead weekly client agenda/topics
monthly digital scorecard delivery
How You’ll Excel In Your Role
Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral
Be intellectually curious and thoughtful and know it’s ok to have a point of view up for discussion
A strong passion for advertising/marketing and knowledge of the digital marketing concepts is key
Understanding of media reporting KPIs and media attribution
Understanding of various creative processes and production including broadcast, streaming, digital/social, and search
Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel & Word, project and budget management
Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision; effective client and agency relationship skills; possess leadership skills
Understanding of trafficking processes, creative testing/rotation, and campaign management
Candidate should possess strong attention to detail
Should be proactive and communicative about project status
Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously
Must work well with different departments within the agency, motivate and provide guidance to media, creative, production, web development and project management teams
Possess strong leadership qualities
Compensation
The salary range for this exempt role is up to $75,000-$85,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and overall fit for the position. Compensation decisions are made thoughtfully and competitively, with a focus on fairness, internal equity, and market alignment. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for RPA’s full benefits package and growth opportunities within the agency.
