Job Overview:
The DRAM Field Application Engineer will lead customer‑facing technical engagements and serve as a senior technical and strategic interface between key customers, contract manufacturers, and headquarters. This role is responsible for driving design wins, managing complex customer programs, and ensuring the successful adoption, qualification, and lifecycle management of DRAM products.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary senior technical interface for key customers, providing expert guidance on DRAM products, system integration, and issue resolution
Identify customers’ current and future technical and product requirements and drive design wins through product evaluation, sampling, and qualification
Lead new product introductions (NPI), including qualification planning, sample planning, and coordination with customers, contract manufacturers, and HQ teams
Own customer product lifecycle management, including product roadmap communication, PCN/EOL management, and technical documentation support
Manage customer product quality, acting as the escalation point for RMA, failure analysis, and corrective action activities in collaboration with HQ QA teams
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular technical and program reviews, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Collaborate cross‑functionally with HQ R&D, Product Planning, Quality, Sales, and Operations teams to align customer needs with product and technology strategies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
10–15 years of experience in Field Application Engineering, customer technical support, or semiconductor/memory‑related roles
Strong working knowledge of DRAM products, memory architecture, and DRAM operation principles
Proven experience managing complex customer qualifications, system‑level debugging, and technical issue resolution
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant technical field
Extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably DRAM or memory products
Hands‑on experience with DRAM quality management, reliability, and failure analysis processes
Experience leading major customer accounts or strategic programs
Strong presentation and documentation skills
Fluent bilingual communication in English and Korean, with experience working in global, customer‑facing environments

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Pay Range $140,000 — $180,000 USD
