💼 About the Role
Shields Health Solutions is seeking a motivated, results-driven leader to join our growing Patient Support Center . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, improving performance, and delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced specialty pharmacy environment .
You’ll oversee daily operations, coach team members, and ensure high-quality patient support and service level performance .
🚀 Key Responsibilities
👥 Leadership & Team Management
Lead and manage a team of Patient Support Associates
Provide coaching, performance management, and development
Support hiring, onboarding, and training
Motivate team members in both remote and onsite environments
🏥 Patient & Operational Excellence
Ensure medication access through refills, prior authorizations, and financial assistance
Manage support across hospitals/clinics to ensure timely patient care
Maintain service level goals and quality standards
Oversee pharmacy workflows (claims, deliveries, coordination of care)
📊 Operations & Collaboration
Conduct system audits and manage workflow efficiency
Partner with hospital stakeholders through regular meetings
Lead team meetings, track performance, and identify improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally on projects and process enhancements
⚙️ Administrative
Manage PTO, timekeeping, and reporting
Coordinate training and system access
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive healthcare data
✅ Qualifications
📜 Required
Active Pharmacy Technician registration + CPhT certification
3+ years pharmacy technician experience ( specialty preferred )
Leadership experience
🎓 Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree (preferred or in progress)
🧠 Skills
Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
Ability to influence and collaborate across teams
Operational and project management expertise
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word
Experience with pharmacy/EMR systems (Willow, QS1, RX30 a plus)
Highly organized, patient-focused, and detail-oriented
✈️ Travel
Up to 20% travel for remote roles outside core locations
