Space is a warfighting domain. True Anomaly seeks those with the talent and ambition to build the technology that secures it.
OUR MISSION
True Anomaly delivers decisive capabilities for space superiority. We build autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors — enabling the U.S. and its Allies to secure the space environment and counter threats from the ultimate high ground.
OUR VALUES
Be the offset. We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity.
What would it take? We challenge assumptions to deliver ambitious results.
It’s the people. Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.
YOUR MISSION
True Anomaly is looking for you, a senior to principal-level technical leader, to architect spacecraft-wide harness solutions that span multiple programs, teams, and vehicle configurations. You will define the standards, conventions, and automation strategies that enable rapid, reliable harness design and integration across the organization. You are accountable for program-level delivery outcomes — not just the quality of individual designs, but the consistency, scalability, and velocity of harness engineering across True Anomaly's portfolio. You will build reusable patterns and tooling that multiply the effectiveness of every harness engineer on the team, coach engineers across organizational boundaries, and shape cross-org alignment on technical direction. This role requires someone who thinks in systems, builds for scale, and leads through influence rather than authority.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Architect spacecraft-wide electrical harness standards and interface conventions across programs; ensure consistent application of grounding, shielding, EMC isolation, and signal integrity practices at the vehicle level for all programs and vehicle lines.
Define spacecraft-level routing rules and mechanical interface standards that integrate harness layouts across full spacecraft configurations, including deployable and multi-module assemblies that resolve competing constraints across thermal, mechanical, electromagnetic, and operational domains.
Oversee supply chain and manufacturability strategies for flight harnesses; collaborate with procurement and manufacturing to ensure part availability, cost efficiency, and production scalability.
Define corporate design-for-manufacture philosophies and reliability standards for harness assemblies; collaborate with industry suppliers on material innovation, process improvement, and next-generation connector and cabling technologies to standardize harness build and verification processes across programs.
Ensure cross-discipline consistency in standards and configurations across electrical, mechanical, thermal, and avionics domains; serve as the integrating authority for harness-related interfaces.
Create automation tools for rapid harness design and validation — reducing manual effort, catching errors earlier, and enabling faster iteration across the design cycle.
Build reusable design patterns and scalable solutions that become organizational assets; codify durable practices that outlast individual programs.
Shape company narratives on harness engineering direction and technical investment; influence executive leadership on strategic priorities, technology bets, and organizational capability development.
Coach and mentor developing harness engineers across teams; build collaboration across organizational boundaries and grow the next generation of senior technical talent.
Embed True Anomaly's values into cross-org delivery practices; serve as a visible role model for trust, accountability, and principled engineering judgment while setting the cultural tone for how teams collaborate and hold themselves accountable.
Anticipate architectural trade-offs before they become problems; proactively identify risks across programs and drive mitigation strategies that protect schedule and mission assurance across programs.
Shape the leadership bench for harness engineering; grow senior technical talent, define career development pathways, and influence enterprise engineering culture through visible leadership and principled decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of professional experience in spacecraft or aerospace harness engineering, with demonstrated progression into multi-program architectural leadership.
Proven track record of defining spacecraft-wide harness standards, interface conventions, or design automation tools adopted across multiple programs or vehicle lines.
Deep expertise in EMI/EMC, grounding architecture, signal integrity, and system-level verification strategies for flight harness systems.
Experience architecting harness layouts that integrate across full spacecraft configurations, including complex routing, multi-module assemblies, and deployable elements.
Demonstrated accountability for program-level delivery outcomes spanning multiple teams and workstreams.
Experience defining or standardizing verification and validation processes, reliability standards, or derating guidelines used across an organization.
Track record of building reusable tooling, templates, or automation that measurably improved design velocity or quality across teams.
Experience overseeing supply chain and manufacturability strategies for flight harness hardware.
Strong ability to coordinate across teams, influence without authority, and shape technical alignment in cross-organizational settings.
Experience coaching and developing engineers at multiple career levels; demonstrated investment in growing senior technical talent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience shaping cross-org alignment and maintaining composure and clarity under program pressure and influencing executive leadership on techni
