Role Overview
We're looking for a Manufacturing Systems Analyst who can bridge the gap between business and technology. You'll manage our production planning system—optimizing data accuracy, improving scheduling workflows, and driving continuous improvement. This role requires someone who can translate operational needs into system requirements, troubleshoot complex problems, and serve as the go-to expert for our production teams.
What You'll Do
Manage the production planning system (PlantStar or similar MRP platform), ensuring data integrity and supporting schedulers and planners on daily operations
Analyze production data, schedules, and system performance to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements
Build and maintain dashboards and reports (SQL, Excel, Power BI) to support decision-making across manufacturing, planning, and management
Troubleshoot MRP-related issues and collaborate with IT on system enhancements, testing, and upgrades
Document processes, drive process improvements, and act as a change agent to optimize workflows and system usage
Train and support schedulers and planners on system best practices
Partner with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality) to align system strategy with business goals
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Information Systems, or related field)
3+ years in manufacturing systems, production planning, or analyst role
Strong experience with MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
Proven experience with production scheduling and process optimization
Data analysis and troubleshooting expertise; ability to write SQL queries against PostgreSQL or similar databases
Strong reporting and dashboarding skills (Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Project management and process documentation experience
Nice to Have
Experience with PlantStar, IQMS, or similar manufacturing planning software
Knowledge of injection molding processes (we'll teach this if you're strong on MRP and scheduling)
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement (Six Sigma) background
Training and mentoring abilities
