Nodal Analyst, US West

To support this mission, we are looking for an Analyst to join our office in Oakland, California.   Aurora has developed a market-leading suite of services which provide analytics and insights to players across the North American power markets – helping to shine a light on development across the power market and industry. Our services comprise Power and Renewable Market Services for the major North American power markets. Together, these provide insights on the development of power markets and implications for a range of power assets, as well as policy and strategy across North America.  Aurora’s Nodal Analytics service provides long-term forecasts of around-the-clock (ATC), top-bottom-4 (TB4), and generation-weighted average (GWA) basis values for approximately 2,000 generator nodes across the CAISO and non-ISO Western market.  The service combines Aurora’s proprietary nodal power market modeling with detailed forecasts of generation interconnection activity, transmission network upgrades, and changing grid conditions to assess future locational value across the system.  Analysts on the team develop nodal market forecasts, conduct transmission and congestion analysis, and deliver research and data products that support investment, development, and commercial decision-making for market participants across the Western U.S.   This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge research and inform key decisions taken by our growing group of US clients.
