The Scaled Abuse Operations team protects the client ecosystem by fighting spam, fraud and abuse in the Play store’s application vertical. The Scaled Abuse Operations team ensures policy compliance for the client’s expanding base of developers, advertisers, publishers, and users. We partner with Engineering to combat large scale networks of fraudsters and spammers. Data Analysts are focused on scaling abuse operations through signals analysis and automation. You are passionate about the client technologies as well as providing top-notch support for our growing mobile developer and user community. You are a self-starter, and love investigating large sets of data to identify abusive patterns. You have a desire to keep the client free of spammers, and the motivation to drive processes to achieve an abuse-free Play store. Responsibilities Perform investigations to catch fraudsters, enforce our product policies, learn spam patterns, and identify product vulnerabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders such as Engineering, Sales, and Legal to increase automation, update policies, fix product loopholes, and provide a better online experience for our users. Enhance our operational workflows via process improvements and identify opportunities for automation. Minimum qualifications BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 2 years relevant work experience). Experience in process optimization with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with MySQL Preferred qualifications 1-2 years relevant work experience, including a background in data analysis and workflow optimization Experience with The client developer platforms (Cloud Platform, Chrome Web Store, etc.). Ability to read, write, and understand source code written in C++, Python, HTML/CSS, and/or JavaScript.
