The Associate Dean provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure curricula are current and consistently delivered in a manner that drives superior student outcomes while upholding the principles of Chamberlain Care™. This role includes direct oversight of high-impact clinical immersion experiences, leading large-scale, multi-day onsite immersions in Illinois designed to strengthen clinical competency, skills validation, and NCLEX readiness. The Associate Dean collaborates across regional academic teams and simulation leadership to support hands-on and virtual learning integration, while ensuring consistency and quality across multiple immersion waves serving large student populations. Responsibilities include oversight of weekend-based immersion delivery (one weekend per session), faculty alignment, and operational execution to ensure an exceptional, student-centered learning experience. This position follows a structured schedule of Monday–Friday with one required weekend per academic session; candidates will be required to accommodate this schedule. Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for large-scale clinical immersion experiences , supporting nursing students through skill-based, high-impact learning sessions. Lead and manage on-site immersion weekends (1 weekend per session) , ensuring strong execution of clinical skills validation and student engagement. Oversee multi-day immersion events (3-day format) , including return demonstrations, teaching components, and applied clinical skill development. Support delivery of core clinical competencies including IV insertion, head-to-toe assessment, oxygenation, mobility, medication calculations, and NCLEX-style readiness activities . Collaborate with Associate Deans and regional teams across five regions , ensuring alignment of immersion execution and student outcomes. Manage and scale immersion operations to support high student volume (150–900+ students per session) across multiple waves , ensuring quality and consistency. Partner closely with academic and simulation leadership to integrate virtual simulation (VSIM) and hands-on immersion experiences , enhancing overall clinical readiness. Participate in the recruitment, selection and on-boarding of qualified faculty and staff and monitor and evaluate their ongoing performance. Ensure learning experiences align with the BSN curriculum and collaborate with national team to support implementation. Collaborate with national academic committees to ensure that appropriate goals and projects are implemented. Create plans for student success in all learning areas, including student retention, graduation rates and NCLEX pass rates. Focus on student satisfaction and work collaboratively with the local and national partners to achieve superior student outcomes. Ensure that course resources and course assessment data are evaluated each session and provide recommendations to improve campus student success plans. Support faculty with timely and effective implementation of changes that address evolving needs of students and ensure delivery of course and/or program outcomes. Ensure faculty are oriented and accountable to teaching and learning best practices through regular evaluation/feedback.
