Fishmonger (Full-Time) - Eataly Chicago

This role reports to the Fresh Market Manager. Assist guests with fish selection and share knowledge of preparation and cooking techniques, providing exceptional guest service Cut, clean, and prepare whole fish and shellfish Cook fish and shellfish for salads and catering dishes Weigh, package, and label fish Display and store food at appropriate temperatures in accordance with Department of Health standards and maintain proper shellfish tag records Stock the counter neatly, accurately, and in a timely manner according to pricing menus, and promptly inform management when fish quantities or supplies are low Clean workstations thoroughly Perform other duties as required or assigned Qualifications Customer service and/or retail sales experience preferred 1+ year of experience working with fresh fish Good knife skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred Job Requirements Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to maintain well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting Ability to work with knives, hand tools, utensils, and equipment to cut fish Food Handler’s License Compensation The hourly rate for this role is $21.00/hr-$23.00/hr.
