We strive to cultivate a representative team of teachers and leaders that reflect our students’ diversity        Position Summary       At KIPP Public Schools Northern California, there is a need for intensive English Language support for all of our multilingual learners.  The ELD teacher reports to the School Leader and will facilitate push-in and pull-out lessons using research-based ELD standards-aligned curriculum. Work is performed under the supervision of the principal.       All KIPP Teachers must...           Model KIPP values       Be committed to being an anti-racist educator       Believe all students can achieve at the highest academic levels       Possess strong content area knowledge and skills building relationships with students, families, and communities       Teach in our extended day and year schedule (click here to learn more about a day in the life of a KIPP student)       Contribute to a relentless and dedicated team of outstanding professionals       Communicate well with students, families, and colleagues       Have proficient knowledge of Google Suite applications (Google Classroom, Hangout, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)       Have the ability to learn and utilize instructional technology to support in-class and distance learning (i.e. Zoom, Nearpod)       Hold a B.A/B.S degree from a regionally accredited institution       Hold a valid teaching credential or be in the process of securing one (please click here to learn more)       This is a school-based role and the expectation is to be onsite 5 days a week.       Preferred Qualifications       Hold a B.A/B.S degree from a regionally accredited institution       Meet one of the following eligibility requirements:       Hold a valid teaching credential in the subject of your desired role, or       Eligibility for a General Education Limited Assignment Permit, or       Eligibility for a Provisional Internship Permit, or       Eligibility for a Short Term Staff Permit       Experience as an educator teaching Black and Brown students for one or more years (preferred)       Spanish or Vietnamese speaking (preferred)       Essential Functions and Responsibilities       Lead an academically rigorous classroom through activities such as:     Develop lesson plans  and supplementary materials for our Multilingual learners  Teach  curricula aligned to ELD standards and Common Core ELA standards     Support and coach teachers on how to integrate ELD standards and Common Core ELA standards Assess and analyze students’ performance and progress to ensure they are mastering developmental skills regularly, and responding to data to support all scholars to achieve academic success   Build Relationships with our students, passionate staff, and committed families by:          Maintain an open line of communication with families       Work to maintain a positive culture on campus by building strong relationships with students and staff members       Successfully strike a balance of warm and demanding in your communication with students       Establish and maintain standards of student behavior for a productive learning environment during class sessions       Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands               Physical: Ability to navigate school and classroom settings. Ability to access and utilize technology. Occasional lifting/carrying of equipment 1-20 lbs. Physical agility to move self in various positions in order to execute dut
