The Team:
The Ecommerce Production & Operations team’s goal is to create best-in-class digital experiences for shoppers to discover, engage, explore and purchase the best of Mattel brands. The team serves as the source of truth and a connection point to communicate Mattel’s value proposition, key features, and benefits of our toy portfolio in an ecommerce environment. The team consists of experts in building content for discoverability and conversion.
The Opportunity:
As the Digital Operations Sr. Analyst within the global Ecommerce organization, you will leverage your expertise in AI visibility (or GEO/AEO) and SEO to coordinate large-scale projects across our portfolio of brands. You will impact the content development workflow, seeking and supporting operational efficiencies and scale.
Mattel is seeking a skilled, shopper- and customer-focused leader to navigate complex site standards and translate it to evolving digital shelf content requirements. The role will serve as a key stakeholder to influence and guide various cross-functional partners across the global organization.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Own and Govern: Establish and document best practices for scalable GEO/AEO and SEO content workflows that streamline intake, review, approval, and publishing while maintaining a single source of truth
Streamline Communication: Automate communication with scalable systems, while ensuring stakeholders receive the right information at the right time
Prioritize: Support agency and technology partnerships to spotlight key AEO/GEO and SEO actions and impact to playbooks
Partner Cross-functionally: Act as a core liaison across internal and external partners to align on requirements, KPIs, and evolving technology channels that support joint priorities
Enable Publishing: Partner with Production and IT teams to ensure approve content is accurately and efficiently deployed across existing platforms, while managing system requirements and challenging the status quo
Measure and Optimize: Track workflow performance metrics and continuously refine to improve efficiencies, speed, and stakeholder experience
Anticipate and Adapt: Keep a strong pulse on shifting priorities season over season to evolve workflows, while leading a post-mortem review of process analysis recurringly
Contribute: Identify best practices in AEO/GEO and SEO to support evolving strategies along with workflows for implementation
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: 4+ years of professional work experience, preferably in online retail, Ecommerce and/or direct-to-consumer (DTC) environments
Expertise in Search and AI: Strong capabilities in Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and SEO (both content and technical), with a demonstrated interest in LLM advancements
Ecommerce Operations: Experience with managing digital shelves and e-merchandising tactics, standards, and improvements
Adaptability and Collaboration: Flexible and adaptive to new environments, with proven track record of dealing with various business stakeholders and effectively coordinating multiple projects in a dynamic environment
Communication and Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal, communication and project management skills, with high emotional intelligence, integrity, and professionalism
Data-Driven Decision Making: Proven ability to leverage complex data sets to drive product health insights to action and build structured reporting outcomes
Attention to Detail: Outstanding organization skills with a high level of data accuracy
Technical Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; experienced in project management tools is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
