Role: We're seeking an experienced Production Supervisor at at our optical manufacturing facility in Plano, TX. Prior relevant experience is necessary.
Schedules: Our 2nd/night shifts work 3 days/week and 4 days off. Perfect for those wanting to restructure non-work hours or minimize commutes.
Shift 2A works: Sundays through Tuesdays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am)
Shift 2B works: Wednesdays through Fridays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am)

General Summary : Responsible for supervising the daily functions of production departments including meeting production goals, daily goals, hiring and development of staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for associates.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages Jobs per Hour in production departments
Supervises activities in assigned department(s), ensuring work flow and proper utilization of associates
Ensures older jobs are processed in a timely manner
Resolves breakage issues to keep breakages low
Conducts root cause analysis to timely identify issues and minimize disruption to production levels
Process and review daily reports
Manages lens and frame inventory as required
Works to ensure other departments within the lab maintain a steady work flow and works with other department supervisors and production manager to resolve interdepartmental issues
Trains lead associates, oversees associate training and cross trains associates to effectively perform at multiple stations within the department
Performs administrative functions including Interviewing and selecting associates, reviewing associate performance, addressing issues, monitoring attendance, scheduling work and vacation time
Implements SOPs, department policies and procedures; enforces all Company Policies and Procedures
No specific education level required
Must demonstrate 3 to 5 years directly related experience
Prior supervisory experience is necessary
Beginner to intermediate knowledge of MS Office including word and excel
Must be able to read and write English
