Technical Lead - Java

Fortune 100 financial services organization that is the leading retirement provider for people who work in the academic, research, medical and cultural fields. RESPONSIBILITIES  Lead the migration of multiple legacy systems into a single J2EE web application Identify and manage dependencies and downstream impacts of the application to minimize adverse effects on other projects and / or programs Lead code reviews and allocation of development staff across new project development, defect management and production support Lead design sessions within the development team and serve as development point of contact for requirement analysis and estimation Manage day to day technical challenges and communicate to manager any risks or issues associated with the development activities Identify opportunities for system reuse and system simplification Utilize and monitor internal performance monitoring for continuous improvement in code quality and delivery 7+ years of experience as a software engineer/programmer with Java/ J2EE 3+yrs leading a team of developers Strong understanding of Spring, Spring MVC Web Services Experience (REST) Strong background working on projects using Agile methodologies Experience with TDD methodologies JPA or ORM experience All information will be kept confidential.
