Job Title: Systems Engineer III

Job Description:
Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 8 to 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Write, translate and enhance advanced PowerShell scripts and webservice API (Rest/SOAP) (Other Languages: Perl, TCL, C#, XML, SQL DB Queries)
Troubleshoot network, system, or code issues and resolve in timely manner with detailed follow up.
Integration of IT tools with orchestration processes
Create and modify runbooks with Microsoft Orchestrator 2012
Understand collections, patching, application packaging with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012.
Submit necessary standard documents for production deployment
Peer review code, runbooks, technical documentation, and project solutions before production release.
Represent team, self, or project with utmost respect for audience, clear communication, cooperative attitude.
Attend status and team meetings, complete project status, time tracking, and mandatory learning courses by or before deadline.
Flexible to work outside of business hours to perform code, system changes in accordance to change management policies.
Implement changes with minimal impact to the business by following enterprise standards and procedures
Provide technical support as needed for automation services.
Some travel required between Chicago offices (Mount Prospect, Chicago) or other off-site locations.
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
