Feel free to check us out at http://www.mindlance.com. • As a core member of BI and Analytics team, the Technical Manager (TM) is primarily responsible for three areas: managing technical staff, overseeing application development and accountable for production deployment and support transition efforts. Overall, the TM will contribute to the creation of a nimble and responsive application development organization. • Works with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Domain Architects, Solution Architects, Developers and Data Scientists to deliver BI and Analytics projects. • Has overall accountability for successful application project delivery. • Ensures that projects deliver not only on functionality, but also follow and enhance the overall GapTech platform, and adhere to GapTech methodology and technical strategy. • Contributes to the creation and continuous improvement of a scalable application development organization. • Fosters open communication within and between teams; Works closely with product management, upstream and downstream teams. • Communicates effectively with IT management and senior leadership, including providing overall project status & health. • Stays abreast of industry trends and best practices. Requirements • 10+ years of Software Development experience with 3+ years as Technical Manager or Technical Lead • 2+ years of experience in Hadoop technology stack - Map Reduce concepts, Distributed computing concepts, HDFS, Hive, Pig and Spark. • Proficient in any one scripting language - Python, Perl, Ruby, Scala etc. • Solid understanding of any RDBMS, Data warehousing concepts and data modeling concepts • Familiar with Service Oriented Architecture Principles - Micro Services, JSON Structures, SOA integration patterns • Strong knowledge in building data pipelines, ETL concepts, near real-time integration patterns and technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ etc. • Adapt to new tools and technologies in traditional BI & Analytics space and Hadoop ecosystem • Passionate to understand complex data sets and help the team to build insights that drives business decisions • Proficient in using Agile methodologies with a strong mindset to break-down complex requirements into milestones, features and user stories and focus on delivering MVP. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience • Manage business expectations, set realistic goals with stakeholders and deliver them • Strong leadership skills to motivate and rally the team • Effective collaboration skills in building partnerships with Product Owners, SME's, Senior Leaders, Program Managers, Architects and other Technology Leads • Retail domain experience a big plus Big data track specific skill set • Solid understanding of math and statistical models, basic optimization techniques and predictive analytical models Bi track specific skill set • Experienced in any reporting tool - Microstrategy, Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, QlikView etc. Raghu Varun - 732-579-3433 - raghuv1(at)mindlance.com
