Research Assistant

SDSU Research Foundation Key Responsibilities: Molecular Biology Techniques: Perform DNA/RNA extraction, conventional and real-time PCR, and gel electrophoresis. Field and Laboratory Work: Assist with field sampling, sample processing and analysis using molecular and analytical instruments. Research and Reporting: Participate in data collection and setting up experiments, organize and analyze data, write and report following the P’s supervision. General Lab Duties: Ensure the lab complies with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, maintain a clean and organized lab, ensure equipment calibration and instrument maintenance, manage inventory, prepare lab stocks, order materials, and prepare solutions and media plates. MINIMUM EDUCATION Completion of sufficient lower division coursework MINIMUM EXPERIENCE OR - Equivalent of one year related experience in lieu of coursework All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
