Learn More About ProSidian Consulting at www.ProSidian.com ProSidian Seeks a Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) Subject Matter Expert (SME) - GSSC [Time and Materials Senior Consultant] located: The Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area to Provide services and support as a Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) Subject Matter Expert (SME) (PR0156) at The Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area.  JOB OVERVIEW Provide Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on behalf of The Department of Energy (DOE), Hanford Site, Assistant Manager for Safety and Quality (AMSQ), Nuclear Safety Division (NSD) RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Perform as a subject matter expert (SME) on The Office of River Protection (ORP) Safety Basis Review Team and (SBRT) The Office of River Protection (ORP) is responsible for the retrieval, treatment, and disposal of this waste in a safe, efficient manner. Assist the SBRT Team Leader in the role of expert reviewer during DOE’s review and comment resolution of the Hazard Analysis (HA), Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis (PDSA), Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) development, and PDSA changes performed, and other supporting documents to meet Hanford safety basis needs. The SME will provide review capabilities in support of DSA revisions and DSA supporting documents. These DSA activities are to be reviewed to follow WTP procedures and similarly aligned other Government agency regulations or procedures. The SME review is particularly important to provide sufficient technical bases for eventual DOE approval of the WTP DSAs in DOE Safety Evaluation Reports (SERs).… Desired Qualifications For A GSSC Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) Subject Matter Expert (SME) (PR0156) | Time and Materials Candidates: The Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) Subject Matter Expert (SME) - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Skills / Abilities / Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management. Nine (9) years of directly applicable experience in applying relevant theories, principles, and practices to tasks, problems, and issues. Knowledge of accepted industry standards; Senior Certification as Safety Professional Excellent written and oral communication skills Demonstrate familiarity or relevant experience or ability to perform under Hanford or other government agency procedures. Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors. Fully vaccinated against COVID, a granted exception to vaccination for COVID, or able to meet entry and testing requirements for entrance and work in federal buildings.
