About the Role
As a Research Associate on the Formulations team, t his role will focus 50% on Pharmacy and 50% as a Formulator. You will be expected to learn and perform all aspects of controlled substances handling and dispensing. You will be responsible for maintaining complete chain of custody of controlled substances, accurately dispensing, and maintaining study schedules. Your responsibilities may also include formulation duties including performing test and control article preparation, as well as TA transfers.
What You’ll Do Here
Responsible for ensuring (as necessary) accountability and reconciliation of controlled substances and facilitating the quarterly audits.
Perform as necessary, routine QC of chain of custody forms.
Expected to perform test article pharmacy processes for adherence to GLP regulations.
Address audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Receive test and control articles and document the chain of custody of received materials including controlled substances.
Maintain the inventory for all test and control materials including controlled substances.
Accurately measure and weigh out required quantities of test article, as needed.
Maintain proper documentation of equipment calibration, use and maintenance as required, i.e. balances, refrigerators, freezers, etc. Review of equipment documentation.
Performs reconciliation of test materials, including controlled substances used in studies.
Responsible for ensuring training records for pharmacy laboratory procedures and equipment are complete and accurate.
Perform dose preparation, sampling and dispensing of test and control article materials.
Ensure appropriate review of data is completed in a timely manner.
Demonstrate high quality documentation skills
Address audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
BS in a scientific discipline or relevant experience (Pharmacy experience is preferred).
1+ year of experience working in a regulated environment; combination of relevant experience and education considered
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
English proficiency required to read and interpret documents such as industry specific documents
Solid reasoning abilities
Able to operate laboratory equipment
Work with a diverse group of people in a fast-paced environment
Work cross functionally on process improvements
Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Maintain organization in a fast paced, changing environment.
Able to manage change
Positive attitude toward work and co-workers
Comfortable communicating with all levels of management and employees
Identify and resolve problems as they are encountered
What We Offer
The pay range estimated for this position is $23.00 - $29.00 per hour. Please note that hourly rates/salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
