Available Work Locations:
Lockwood, Greenleaf, Esperanza, Oakland Academy of Knowledge, Grassvalley, Sankofa, Brookfield, Montclair, Markham, Hoover, and Redwood Heights.
$200 Sign on bonus after 60 days of employment!
BENEFITS Pay rate: $24–$27 per hour, based on regional grant funding and experience.
Typical schedule of 20–30 hours per week, depending on site needs.
Up to 15 paid holidays annually.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications Associate degree or higher, completion of at least 48 college units, or passage of a qualifying Instructional Aide examination.
Experience working with young children in educational, childcare, enrichment, preschool, TK, kindergarten, or community-based settings.
Ability to build positive relationships with children and families from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Ability to actively supervise and engage groups of young children while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment.
Basic proficiency with email, Google Workspace, and required program documentation systems.
Successful completion of criminal background clearance, TB clearance, Mandated Reporter certification, and all required trainings.
Ability to work during after-school hours and commit through the academic school year (hire date through mid-June).
Preferred Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
Experience with play-based learning and early childhood, preschool, Transitional Kindergarten, kindergarten, expanded learning, or childcare programs.
Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices for children ages 4–6.
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish, English/Chinese, or other languages).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, and move throughout the program space for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Ability to actively supervise and accompany students during indoor and outdoor activities.
Ability to maintain active supervision and respond appropriately to the physical and safety needs of young children.
