Data Modeler

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring a Data Modeler . In this fully-remote role, you’ll support data modeling tasks on multiple database technologies. In your day to day, you’ll design, deliver, and govern scalable data models across operational and analytical environments by translating business requirements into optimized structures, ensuring data quality and standards. Ideal candidates will bring: Experience with erwin DM (or comparable enterprise data modeling tools) Experience with FACETS is a plus (but not required) Excitement around using enterprise-approved AI tools Note: Sponsorship is not available for this role. Although this role is fully remote, final in-person interviews at our Chattanooga, TN headquarters will be required. Job Responsibilities Designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for OLTP and data warehouse environments. Establishing, documenting, and enforcing data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices. Collaborating with data analysts, DBAs, architects, and engineers to align models with business needs. Optimizing data models for performance, scalability, and security. Job Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience Experience 3 years - Experience in data modeling, data analysis, database, or related role required Skills\Certifications Proven skill with database technologies and data modeling tools in use at BCBST is required Ability to quickly take complex technical subjects and distill them into user-friendly presentations and digital communications Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Proven decision making and problem-solving skills Be organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks with exceptional work ethic Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers Number of Openings Available 1 Worker Type: Employee Company: BCBST BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc.
