The Welder is responsible for performing high-volume, repetitive welding operations on galvanized light gauge materials (20–22 GA). This role focuses primarily on precision corner welds and circle welds, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to production standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and capable of maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Schedule: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm Key Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on 20–22 gauge galvanized materials in a production setting Execute repetitive corner welds and circle welds with precision and consistency Ensure proper handling and welding techniques for galvanized steel (including awareness of coatings and ventilation requirements) Maintain quality standards by ensuring clean, structurally sound welds Inspect completed welds for defects and correct as needed Follow blueprints, work instructions, and welding specifications Meet daily production and efficiency targets Perform basic equipment setup and adjustments as required Maintain a clean and organized work area Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper PPE and ventilation when welding galvanized material Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum 1–2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment Experience welding thin gauge galvanized material (20–22 GA) strongly preferred Ability to perform repetitive welding tasks for extended periods Basic understanding of weld symbols and simple blueprints Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to use measuring tools and gauges Skills & Competencies Precision and strong hand-eye coordination Consistency in repetitive welding tasks Quality-focused mindset Understanding of challenges associated with welding galvanized materials Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Dependability and strong work ethic Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed and large pieces Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes Work Environment Production/manufacturing facility High-volume, repetitive workflow Exposure to galvanized welding fumes requiring proper ventilation and PPE Use of PPE including welding helmet, gloves, respirators (as required), and protective clothing Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law .
