You have exceptional design skills, a background in architecture, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. You will collaborate with our broader design team to develop design solutions and coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project.    This role is an active participant in our studio’s AI transformation. We   are looking for a designer who integrates AI tools into visualization, iteration, and documentation workflows as a matter of practice, not experimentation. You will be expected to   demonstrate   AI-assisted work in your portfolio and contribute to team fluency as we evolve how technical design work gets done.   Your work ethic, combined with your commitment to collaboration and mentoring, makes Gensler the perfect place to nurture your career.   What You Will Do    Work closely with Design Director, Studio Director, Design Manager, Design team to develop architectural solutions from conceptual level through construction documentation.   R ender and produce high-quality visualizations and diagrams: Create compelling graphics and renderings that effectively communicate design intent ,   leveraging   AI-assisted rendering tools (including FLUX-based and diffusion model workflows via RunDiffusion) to accelerate iteration speed and expand the range of options presented to clients. Develop and study design options: Analyze and refine design ideas through sketches, 3D models, and iterations based on   initial   concepts ; use AI-assisted workflows to generate, evaluate,   and compress iteration cycles without sacrificing design judgment. Collaborate with a Project Architect (PA): Work closely with a PA to develop detailed drawing sets and technical documents. Direct preparation of conceptual designs, space plans, presentations , and design   development. Lead coordinat ion   with   the Design /Technical team and Project/Design Manager(s). Lead coordinat ion   with client team, project manager, construction   manager   and others to develop design deliverables and freehand sketches. Review and manage project   programs   and design deliverables Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions. Drive project sustainability targets throughout project phases and actively engage in delivering them. Coordinate sustainability targets with project consultants and engineers. Implement sustainable design strategies in every project stage and investigate solutions to sustainable design challenges. Work collaboratively with the team to   optimize   sustainability performance through design iterations and research. Lead   climate-focused   analysis and studies for each project. Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.   Your Qualifications   Bachelor's or   master's degree in architecture   or related field from an accredited school . 2 -5 years of architectural project experience (core and shell). P roficiency in Rhino,   Enscape , Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SketchUp, Unreal,   Stable Diffusion and FLUX-based generative AI workflows (via RunDiffusion or equivalent enterprise platform),   Grasshopper, Climate Studio, and your pen highly preferred ; AI tool experience must be demonstrated in submitted portfolio, not listed as awareness only. Outstanding graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas. Demonstrated AI fluency in an architectural workflow: portfolio must include at least one project where AI-assisted visualization, massing study, or design iteration played a documented role. Show the prompt, the output, an d the judgment applied to it. D emonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices. Ability to learn, collaborate, and solve complex problems.   The successful candidate may not have a mastery of all noted tools, but   generally should   be comfortable navigating across 3D modelling, visualizing, and presentation platforms to create compelling diagrams & imagery.   Comfort with AI-assisted visualization tools, particularly generative image and   rendering   workflows, is expected, not optional.
