Plant Operator Trainee - Fixed Term

Build your career at Asphalt Materials, Inc! As a Plant Operator Trainee - Fixed Term, you will work as part of a team to ensure the overall successful operation of the terminal. Functions include loading and unloading of trucks, unloading rail cars, basic maintenance activities, upkeep of operational documentation and maintaining standard plant operations. The pay for this role is $27.21 per hour, plus full benefits, and a yearly bonus. Essential Functions Willingness to abide by safety policies and adhere to the policies/practices Raw material receiving activities Product shipment activities Manufacturing of asphalt products Maintain required documentation regarding daily operation activity Maintain appropriate plant operations by adjusting plant equipment Perform general plant facility maintenance Troubleshoot process issues Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills. Education Qualifications Preferred High School or Equivalent Experience Qualifications Preferred 1+ years industry experience Skills and Abilities Adaptable mindset Reliable Safety focused Ability to demonstrate accountability Ability to succeed in team environment Preferred basic mechanical and/or electrical knowledge Preferred previous production/maintenance experience Licenses and Certifications Valid driver's license Required Working Conditions/Physical Demands Ability to utilize ladders and stairs to access equipment Willingness to work outdoors Willingness to utilize Personal Protective Equipment Comfort level working around industrial piping and on elevated platforms Willingness to work flexible hours Safely lift at least 50 lbs Successfully pass a physical and drug test About Asphalt Materials, Inc.
