As a ITW Welding Product Specialist , you'll have the chance to showcase your technical expertise while fostering relationships that drive growth across our diverse welding portfolio.   What You’ll Do and Impact:  As a ITW Welding Product Specialist, you'll serve as an expert in your field,  assisting our customers to achieve welding process excellence. Your deep knowledge of our comprehensive welding portfolio, encompassing welding equipment and consumables, will play a vital role in identifying and pursuing growth opportunities. You'll excel in presenting solutions that deliver genuine value to our customers through documented improvements. Being a part of our tightly knit , interdependent team means embracing these qualities, which are fundamental not only for your personal success but also for the success of our customers.   Utilize your welding expertise to elevate customer experiences with welding products.   Apply your technical knowledge to transform sales opportunities involving filler metals, equipment, MIG Gun products, and more.   Collaborate closely with the welding sales team on strategic account planning, working together to convert and earn end user business.   Work in close partnership with divisional resources, sharing insights on competitive positioning, innovation potential, and customer needs.   Create impactful presentations that demonstrate the tangible value of solutions to our customers.   Conduct engaging product demonstrations that highlight the benefits of solutions and encourage product adoption.   Maintain transparent and effective communication with the sales team, distributor partners, end users, and operating divisions.   Provide targeted training and technical support to our valued end-users and distribution partners.   Efficiently manage your territory, focusing on key accounts and activities using an 80/20 approach.   A strong passion for welding and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on customer experiences.   In-depth technical understanding of welding products, equipment, and consumables.   Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, to connect with diverse stakeholders.   A collaborative mindset and the ability to seamlessly work within a diverse team.   A problem-solving orientation and the capacity to adapt to dynamic situations.   Prior experience in welding and sales.   Minimum Education and Experience :   BS in Welding Engineering or Welding Engineering Technology degree or equivalent experience   2+ years prior experience in welding industry   Subject matter expert in manufacturing welding processes and welding variables   Full welding portfolio knowledge/understanding required   Technically conversant in latest welding/automation technology plus experience with welding codes   AWS Certified Welding Inspector qualification preferred   What you need to do to be successful in this role:  Strong business acumen required   Ability to develop strategic plans and proposals around current customer landscape   Hands-on welding ability, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment   Ability to communicate with and build relationships with key decision makers and influencers   Strategic selling skills with a command of value-added sales techniques to support conversion process.      Strong Communication, presentation, time/project management, collaboration and interpersonal skills   Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and CRM system   Ability to travel overnight at least 50%   Join Our Team!   Miller® is about building things that matter.
