Position Overview
The Principal Project Manager will be responsible for leading complex sales operations initiatives and product launch projects. They will drive cross-functional collaboration, ensure successful commercialization of innovative medical devices and technologies, and optimize sales enablement processes in a highly regulated environment. The Principal Project Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, managing multiple high-impact projects with a focus on strategy, operations, and commercialization. Ensure all projects have adequate project plans such that they are executed on time, within budget, and consistent with the company’s goals.
Essential Job Functions
Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, including technical requirements, risk assessments, and design documentation.
Partner with functional leaders to ensure appropriate resources are identified to complete company goals and objectives.
Partner with business team and functional leaders to determine budgets necessary for completion of approved projects.
Ensure appropriate visibility & reporting of the progress of major programs/projects across all functions and levels including the Leadership Team.
Provide oversight to ensure timely review for projects.
Identify project risks early, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues to executive leadership as needed.
Lead post-launch activities, including performance analysis, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify and implement best practices for program management.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute organizational process improvements.
Drive action and commitment to the development and improvement of critical systems and processes.
May mentor other members of the team.
Requirements
B.S. in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project/program management with a focus on operations, sales, and commercialization.
Industry-recognized project management certification (PMP, PgMP, or equivalent) preferred; Six Sigma or Lean certification a plus.
Strong understanding of Med Tech product development and go-to-market strategies.
Demonstrated track record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
High level of enthusiasm, motivation, and drive for results.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, adept at navigating organizational challenges and possess ability to work through others and accomplish objectives.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively at executive levels.
Ability to travel, as needed, up to 25%.
