Job Description Summary
The Sr. Specialist of North America Procurement, Logistics, will be responsible for managing Procurement & program optimization for ~$226m in logistics expenditures across the North America business.
This role will serve as a key contributor to NA Procurement by aiding execution of long & short-term objectives aligned with the company’s mission + overall strategic goals related to growth, cost savings, supply continuity & risk management. This role will develop & execute a strategic vision for procurement to drive key supply chain opportunities by serving as a trusted partner/advisor to customer service planning & logistics (CSP&L) operations.
In addition, the Sr. Specialist will be tasked with acting as a change agent, furthering the deployment of best-in-class procurement capabilities to support CSP&L in deploying innovative improvements to logistics procurement procedures, processes & systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Strong people skills & the ability to interface at all levels of the enterprise will be essential or this role to drive the intended organizational change.
Job Description
Optimize a $ 226 m “book of business” toward company cost, quality, deliver y & service objectives
Lead strategy development & deployment for North America logistics procurement requirements
Shift the s ourcing p rocess from transactional bidding to execution of a long-term, s trategic plan that is aligned with key CSP&L & operating leaders
Oversee critical supplier negotiation strategy development & execution
Focus on delivering incredible customer experience, sensitive to the company culture & ways of working, valuing Lead stakeholder engagement, collaboration of teams & supplier relationships
Drive the continuous improvement process of network optimization for the distribution fulfillment model
Lead complex sourcing efforts & negotiat ions with logistics suppliers
I dentify opportunities to continue to optimize supply chain performance
Consult with Legal to enable negotiation of contracts in an efficient & effective manner
Contribut e procurement performance & inflationary targets as part of annual planning cycle
Manage the freight settlement document reporting and resolution support process within SAP /VIM/S4/BN4L
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor ’ s degree is required , Masters in a business-related field a plus
3-5 years of experience in Procurement , Logistics, Supply- Chain, or equivalent industry/subject matter
Proven familiarity with logistics management
Experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry a plus
Demonstrated top performance in prior role(s)
K nowledge of SAP ERP & related systems including, but not limited to , S/4 Hana, SAP Ariba & SAP Concur
Possess the ability & knowledge to negotiate, manage & enforce complex agreements
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
Ability to collaborate productively with cross-functional, cross-geography teams
Excellent ability to operate in uncertain environments & deliver under pressure
Ability to develop & influence relationships at all levels of the business
Ability to travel up to 20%
