The Battery Manufacturing Team is looking for multiple technicians to operate automated assembly machines for battery cells. Our pilot manufacturing facilities will produce cells in a dry room. The position requires someone with experience operating and following SOPs, understanding production sequences, interacting with software tools like MES and LIMS, and delivering output meeting internal KPIs. If you have 1 years of experience in supporting lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing, this position will provide you with a challenging and rewarding opportunity.
Job Responsibilities
Follow all established safety rules and regulations and utilize required safety equipment. Report defective equipment or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5S and LEAN manufacturing principles
Oversee operations of pouch cell assembly equipment to manufacture the required products
Perform quality inspection protocols to enable preparations of material against tight tolerances, high specifications
Monitoring tool’s operation to ensure quality of product is maintained
Record equipment related issues and alert facility manager or a process engineer
Perform other duties as required or as requested by the manager
Qualifications
High volume manufacturing exposure in printed-electronics, solar-cell, semiconductor, or battery industries
Previous experience working in a dry-room or a clean-room
Minimum of 1 years of experience working in a Lithium-Ion Battery manufacturing facility o
Minimum of 1 year of experience with operation of ARBIN or MACCOR testers
Minimum of 1 year of experience using various PLC/HMI controls
Minimum of 1 Experience and skill using computers in the factory environment for automation, analysis and communication - including email, web applications and Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Siemens HMI
Experience implementing new automation
Understanding of Batteries and how they’re assembled
Previous leadership/supervision experience
Knowledge of Lithium-ion Testing Standards
Knowledge of UN Testing Standards
High volume manufacturing exposure
Control system experience is a big plus.
Experience running/Controlling formation equipment is a big Plus
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to foster a professional work environment that instills trust and confidence among reports, peers and supporting organizations.
Ability and willingness to alter schedule as needed for in support of training, coverage and off-shift meetings
Physical Requirements
This role will require long periods of standing of up to 12 hours in a manufacturing environment.
The employee will be required to use his or her hands for lab instrument and equipment operation
Must pass a respirator fitment test.
Required chem-/bio-safety training upon hiring.
Ability to lift , kneel, push, pull, and/or move objects up to 50 lbs.
Compensations Range:
The expected base salary range for this position is between
$26.00 - $39.00 The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
