Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is for this position is $71,733 - .$83,925
Meow Wolf's salary scales set the expected range of pay for this position determined by position grade. Off-scale salaries may be offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
Job Summary:
Meow Wolf is looking for a Los Angeles-based Social Media Manager to grow our brand’s social presence as we rapidly expand our footprint, becoming our on-the-ground support for the 2026 LA exhibition opening and beyond. As part of our social media team, you’ll contribute to shaping and executing a dynamic, highly engaging social media strategy across both brand and local Meow Wolf channels. You’ll craft content that sparks interest, FOMO, curiosity, drives conversations, and brings our immersive experiences to life in the digital space. You’ll also be a touchpoint for creators in Los Angeles, helping to drive our overall influencer strategy at the local level.
From creating thumb-stopping content to experimenting with cutting-edge social tactics, you’ll be at the forefront of making Meow Wolf an industry leader in social media storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
Create & Manage Engaging Content
Support social media management across all Meow Wolf’s current and future owned social media channels
Concept, write, edit, and publish compelling social media posts that bring the Meow Wolf universe to life in collaboration with the full social media team
Maintain a consistent and vibrant social media tone and voice that reflects Meow Wolf’s unique brand personality—playful & imaginative, bold, curious and surreal– ensure all content feels authentic, engaging, and in line with our creative strategy and vision
Support and execute local influencer efforts, including outreach, negotiation, and briefing
Support Local & Regional Social Media Execution
Keep eyes on social strategy implementation across regional Meow Wolf locations
Provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance on content for local channels, ensuring cohesion while allowing for location-specific creativity
Monitor performance of regional social content and optimize for impact
Track, Analyze & Optimize Performance
Monitor key social media KPIs, analyze data, and adjust strategies to maximize engagement and growth
Leverage insights to refine content performance, audience targeting, and platform approach
Stay on top of emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices
Collaborate Across Teams
Work closely with the brand and local marketing teams and more to align social media efforts with larger brand initiatives
Collaborate closely with paid digital teams for boosting organic efforts, ensure alignment of organic social strategy with paid campaigns, and other owned media channels (SEO, website blog, email marketing)
Partner with PR/comms, brand studio, and narrative/exhibition teams to integrate social into larger campaigns and universe storytelling efforts
Coordinate with community manager and guest experience team to ensure timely responses and proactive community engagement
Assist with local LA content needs in concert with internal and external teams
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience managing brand social media accounts with a proven track record of success. (2+ years marketing, advertising or agency experience in the attraction, entertainment, recreation facility, or other public space strongly preferred)
Customer service & crisis management skills
General knowledge of the Arts & Immersive Entertainment industry
Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
Deep expertise in content creation and storytelling across formats, from sharp, compelling copy to multimedia content and narratives that genuinely connect with audiences.
Solid social video production and editing skillset.
Experience working on creator campaigns with the ability to identify the right voices, write creator briefs, and execute creative that feel authentic.
Comfortable appearing (at times) on camera
A master collaborator. You thrive in cross-functional environments, working closely with creative teams, regional marketers, and brand stakeholders.
