JOB SUMMARY   A s an Athletic Trainer - Certified, responsibilities include the day-to-day care of injuries and emergencies that occur on camp facilities for campers, staff, guests and visiting professional athletes – not just on a professional level but personal as well and the increased networking opportunity is unmatched!     Within this role there are varying degrees of processes in which must be understood and prioritized in order to successfully achieve the daily operations of this department.     Our Medical Staff should be knowledgeable in the injuries and sport injury prevention as well as basic illness medical treatments. You will work and play in the same innovative environments as professional and Olympic athletes.   Discounts on food, retail and gear.     Career Development and growth opportunities here and at our facilities across the globe.   A connection with people who share the same passions and embrace each other’s unique and individual styles.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   Maintain and be a knowledgeable resource of current and proposed standards of practice and PA state guidelines of Athletic Trainer Certified   Ensuring adherence to HIPPA standards    Work as a team within the Nursing Station, Athletic Training Room, and Transportation Department to ensure the best care is provided to all on camp property     Responsible to provide comprehensive medical care to all campers, guests, and staff     Attend and participate in staff training to acquire knowledge for behavior management techniques, emergency evacuation procedures, etc.     Responsible for maintaining records on campers, staff, and guests utilizing our internal platforms     Contribute to overall organization and administration of the Nurses Station and Athletic Training Room in conjunction with other assigned staff    Responsible for scheduling and follow-up evaluation and check-in appointments as needed     Liaison between parents, coaches, program staff, and athletes regarding illnesses, injury care, prevention, management, and treatment.    Maintain Woodward's safety logs, operational sheets and incident logs      Train and develop students to ensure health and safety are executed to Woodward's standards     Provide oversight to students    Maintain a positive learning environment for clinical education of student and other medical personal     Attend weekly meetings to discuss current issues and safety lists       Provide on-call overnight coverage on a rotational basis every night via phone and radio coverage     Take daily inventory on supplies and operational needs     Communicate any and all maintenance needed to uphold a safe and sanitized medical facility    Attend camper orientation to provide education on health and safety    Help facilitate safety and wellness across the entire camp     Support storytelling, social and content ideas for medical, health and safety    Other duties as assigned.     SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES   +/- 10 campers in the clinic     +/- 4 students     KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES   Ability to project manage and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time      Strong interpersonal skills. Has the ability to implement ideas.     Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile, and able to pivot quickly        Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and accountability        Strong attention to detail        Comfortable handling confidential information        Successful working in an independent and team environment       Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse groups of people        QUALIFICATIONS   Required Qualifications   Minimum of Bachelor's Degree   NATABOC Certified   Active Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Licensure / Compact State (Multi-State Licensure)   Must have 1+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens     Must have CPR Certification      Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, comfortable presenting and deploying new technologies     Demonstrate broad technical knowledge of management techniques      Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team.      Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance throu gh the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position and federal background screening via FBI fin gerprinting   Preferred Qualifications:   1+ year as a certified AT   PRE-REQUISITES   Must have or be able to obtain the following prior to starting work:   Woodward will supply information to assist you in obtaining these if needed.     Mandated Reporter Training Certificate   Safesport Training Certificate   PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS   Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.     Must be comfortable
